Carrie Hunter

Carrie Hunter is an Associate, who joined THA in 2007 and has 15 years of experience in the retrofit and adaptation of existing buildings and in the conservation of specialized heritage buildings and sites. Her involvement extends to design on projects of large value. She has managed complex multi-disciplinary teams and has been responsible for the production of design and contract document phases of work. Carries diverse abilities and problem-solving skills have led to assignments on a wide range of projects from the design of offices, to industrial, institutional and educational facilities. She is well-versed in accessibility guidelines and standards, Conservation Standards, thrives on challenges related to existing conditions and is committed to protecting Heritage resources while creating spaces aligned with contemporary needs.

Carries interest in travel, her experience working in Boston and Rotterdam, and her study in Rome have inspired her to draw from both traditional and contemporary precedents to inform her work.

Carrie graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Waterloo in 2010, is a licensed Architect with the OAA and a member of the Ontario Association of Heritage Professionals.
